Mechanical anchors
Mechanical anchors and concrete screws are dealt with by EOTA, EAD 330232-00-0601, TR 049 and part 6 of ETAG 001. Published EADs and ETAGs are downloadable from EOTA website .
ECAP is a member of EOTA Experts Groups for the transfer of the former European Technical Approval Guidelines (ETAGs) and TRs on anchors into EADs.
The design of mechanical anchors is covered by CEN Eurocode 2. ECAP is member of the CEN subgroup drafting Structural Eurocodes on the design of fastening for use in concrete.
ECAP’s calculation program is kept up to date accordingly.
Bonded anchors
Bonded anchor products are dealt with by EOTA ,EAD draft 15-33-0499-06.01, which will superseed ETAG 001 part 5. Published EADs and ETAGs are downloadable from EOTA's website .

Plastic anchors
Plastic anchors are dealt with by EOTA, ETAG 014 and ETAG 020. All ETAGs are downloadable from EOTA website.

3-D Nailing plates
Three dimensional nailing plates are dealt with by EOTA, ETAG 015. All ETAGs are downloadable from EOTA website.
ECAP is a member of EOTA Experts Groups for the transfer of the former European Technical Approval Guideline ETAG 015 into an EAD.
It is under discussion if the design of 3-D Nailing plates will be covered by CEN Eurocode 5. ECAP is a member of the Eurocode subgroup dealing with 3-D nailing plates.
Powder actuated tools
Powder Actuated Tools (PAT) are dealt by the CEN standard EN 15895 in the framework of the Machinery Directive.
Under the Construction Products Directive, fasteners for PATs were covered by
EOTA CUAPs. Under the Construction Products Regulation CUAPs do not have any status and the CE marking of fasteners is possible only if an EAD exists.
ECAP is a member of the CEN Working Group dealing with EN 15895, and of the CEN group dealing with fixing cartridges, a PAT component. Outside Europe, fixing cartridges are dealt with by CIP .
Wood screws
Under the Construction Products Directive, wood screws were dealt with by both, an EOTA CUAP and the CEN standard EN 14592. Under the Construction Products Regulation CUAPs do not have any status, unless they are transferred into an EAD.
ECAP is member of the CEN Working Group dealing with EN 14592, and of the CEN subgroup drafting Structural Eurocodes on the design of timber structures, including wood screws.
ECAP’s calculation program on wood connectors is kept up to date accordingly.
ECAP is a member of Small Business Standards (SBS) mirror group on Timber Construction, made by European associations of SMEs from the timber construction sector.
